A message from our Head Teacher, Mrs A K Dhesi

Welcome to Lozells Primary School!

Thank you for visiting our website to find out what goes on at our wonderful school.

We aim to provide our children with a range of wonderfully exciting learning opportunities and life experiences. It is important to us that we encourage children to develop their personal interests and passions, be it in dance, sports, leadership or fund-raising. We firmly believe that an excellent, well-rounded primary education lays the foundations for future success, whether in secondary school or later life in general.  Our school values (chosen by the children themselves) reflect this belief and are the starting point from which all else develops and grows here at Lozells Primary School:

• The children’s welfare is always the number one focus: it is important to us that they feel happy, safe and supported at all times. We make time to listen to them and value each one individually.
• We ask them to be the best learners they can be. We work to foster a hunger for learning in our children and enjoy celebrating their personal achievements and the effort they put in. We value hard work and commitment from our children and we are dedicated to helping each child to succeed. However, it is their determination that helps them overcome any barriers and they always rise to the occasion.
• We nurture the children to grow as positive role-models and citizens of society at large. We encourage them to be reflective about themselves and the world around them. The fact that they chose both honesty and forgiveness as two of the school’s values is a reflection of the understanding they have of the importance of these personal qualities: showing kindness and respect were also at the top of their list.

 

The families in our school community are also at the heart of everything we do here at Lozells Primary School. We are proud of the positive relationships we have built with parents and carers; we work closely with them to ensure that our goal to inspire and support their children is continued at home. Together, we encourage them to aim high, be the best they can be and achieve excellence.
